Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood chaired a meeting on technical and vocational education (TVET) on Wednesday, the education ministry said.
According to the tweet, the Minister of Education chaired the high-level meeting where key stakeholders in the TV sector were present.
During the meeting, a detailed overview of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s special program “Hunarmand Pakistan” was also taken, the Ministry of Education said.
A day earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan, as president of a meeting, stressed the importance of vocational training and skilled labor in socio-economic development and instructed the federal and provincial institutions to formulate and present a common comprehensive strategy.
He said one of the many factors behind the economic development in China was their special focus on skilled labor.
The meeting on interprovincial cooperation on qualified education was briefed on the strategy for the training of Pakistani qualified people according to international standards.
It was told that in order to tackle the challenges facing Pakistani labor at the international level, a comprehensive strategy would be formulated in cooperation with the federal and provincial institutions.
